Colchester United v Tranmere Rovers Match Discussion
By Deadly Submarine
April 4 2014
If you can't make Tranmere's vital game away at Colchester United on Saturday afternoon, why not join in the banter right here with other Rovers fans who are unable to attend...
Following football even at League One level is pretty expensive these days and no matter how much you love the Rovers, it will sometimes be difficult to make the games in person whether it be the lengthy away trips, or for exiles living elsewhere in the UK or abroad, the home games too. As a result, for those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, we at Total Tranmere will be providing this match discussion thread for you to discuss developments with the game.
Tranmere of course, travel to Colchester United for a vital game on Saturday afternoon in Sky Bet League One, so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on? You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been to watch the game live. What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.
I think Tranmere will win, as despite Wallace being injured, one of Colchester's centre backs was recalled from loan in the last 48 hours, so that might affect their solidity at the back.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
We can her all 3points here .but it's down to the team .are they up for the dog fight we are in it pick up 12points in 7 games is very very doable .we have the players to do it .but if there sulking or not up for it we will get nothing .they got us in this mess now they can get us out of it
If they take 3 points it means another team cutting away from an ever smaller relegation group. Because of our home form we really have to win this sort of match
Matt, the player recalled is a 19 yo who was signed as cover and didn't play in last two matches. Colchester do have two key players out plus one more who is struggling to make the game.

Think we had an odd player missing and others playing not 100% like Koumas so good result over all.
Agree with the shout about JLAA. Astute move from McMahon. Going back two weeks how many of us would of seen him playing a part the way he has. I know I didn't. Admittedly I didn't see a win coming today either. Thank god we won. Other results weren't exactly favorable to us. Good nights sleep for me tonight. Will try and be more positive from now till the end of the season, or at least the next game lol.
Yes, full marks to John Mc. Despite all the @#$%& that's going wrong off the field at the moment he's managed to squeeze a little bit extra out of a threadbare squad, by incorporating to good effect Max and JLAA who had been inexplicably frozen out by Ronnie. We've probably played as well overall over the last few games as we have all season (which is not saying much, admittedly). I just hope the Centre back situation doesn't drag us down.
Mal, imo 50 points will be needed to ensure safety this season I cannot see anyway 48 will be enough although as long as we stay up im not bothered how many points it will take.
those who went thoughts on how Pennington did at CB? Looks to have all the attributes to be a fantastic centre back and I know he plays it a lot for everton, could be him and ash potentially?

Very good yes. Arthurworrey had a bit of a shocker all game anyway so it's hard to compare Pennington to him but he looked alright I thought.
