Total Tranmere brings you a run down of the best odds ahead of Rovers' trip to Carlisle on Tuesday night

Article Header - Breaking News

After a weekend off for both Tranmere and Carlisle due to the bad weather, the two teams face each other at Brunton Park this Tuesday night in League One.

For Rovers, this will be an extremely tough game against an in form Carlisle side.  The Blues are on a run of ten games unbeaten at home, stretching back to September 10th and including wins over Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday and Stevenage, whilst a run of just four defeats in nineteen league games has resulted in a meteoric rise up the league table, with Greg Abbott's side coming into this game in seventh place in the League One table, level on points with sixth placed Stevenage.

Tranmere, on the otherhand, are on a dire run of form away from home, having suffered eight successive defeats in a run dating back to a win away at Hartlepool at the end of October.

Indeed, Rovers have lost their last three away league games having led them, whilst their last five away matches have all finished 2-1.  However, after a weekend off, Les Parry's side will perhaps be hopeful of benefitting from a rest and putting in a solid performance, capable of at least picking up a draw.

Tipster: This will be a really tough game for Tranmere against a Carlisle side who've inflicted one of just three home league defeats on Les Parry's side this season and are on a great run of form at Brunton Park.  However, Rovers have a good squad to choose from with plenty of attacking options and Owain fon Williams now back in the side, so they should be able to threaten Greg Abbott's side.

At 5/2, Stan James' odds on Tranmere/Draw no bet look good odds, with Rovers showing at Prenton Park lately that they are capable of picking up draws...they just struggle to get that all important killer goal.

Elsewhere, William Hill will offer you 8/5 on Tranmere to score in the first half, whilst Tranmere to score first is 8/5, something Rovers have achieved in all of their last three away games.

Please Note: Odds are subject to change, particularly on Saturday as kick off draws nearer or more bookmakers open up markets.  Total Tranmere does not encourage betting.
