As the cold weather continues to hit the UK, Rovers fans are reminded that Saturday afternoon's home game against Preston North End in NPower League One is subject to a Saturday morning pitch inspection at Prenton Park at 10.00am.

Despite the covers have been on the pitch all week, the ridiculously cold temperatures have still put the game in doubt with Tranmere reporting on their Official Website that parts of the pitch remain frozen and as a result, the match referee will visit the ground tomorrow morning for a pitch inspection.

Supporters, particularly those travelling longer distances to the game, are advised to keep an eye on the Tranmere Rovers Official Website tomorrow morning for news of the inspection results.
