Total Tranmere brings you a run down of the odds ahead of Rovers' home game against Preston North End this weekend

Article Header - Breaking News

This weekend, Tranmere Rovers play their fourth home game of 2012 as they take on Preston North End at Prenton Park, with the Lilywhites now under the leadership of former Stevenage manager Graham Westley.

Since Westley took over at Deepdale, things haven't gone swimmingly well for the Lancashire side, with Westley yet to win a game whilst in charge of the club, something he will be hoping to put right today as he looks to record his second win of the season against Rovers, after he led Stevenage to a 2-1 win over Les Parry's side in December.

However, despite a severe lack of wins, Tranmere have been difficult to beat at home this season. In total, they've lost just three times in the league at Prenton Park, whilst they come into this game unbeaten in four on the Wirral, so they will be hopeful of continuing that run of form today as they look for their first win of they ear.

Tipster: This is an important game for Tranmere and a chance to pick up a win and start getting back on track. Les Parry has a good squad to choose from this weekend with plenty of attacking options and Owain fon Williams now back in the side, so I can see Rovers pushing on and picking up an important win against an out of form Preston side this weekend.

Preston have struggled on the road of late, without a win in their last three, but they haven't been conceding many goals, so I think a bet an Tranmere to win by one goal at 3/1 with various bookmakers is a good bet, especially considering Tranmere themselves aren't prone to winning by many!

As a scorecast, William Hill will offer you 45/1 on Tranmere to win 1-0 with Adam McGurk netting the goal, as well as 11/1 on Ash Taylor to score anytime in a Tranmere win.

Please Note: Odds are subject to change, particularly on Saturday as kick off draws nearer or more bookmakers open up markets.  Total Tranmere does not encourage betting.
