It doesn't seem like long ago that Total Tranmere were bringing you the a review of the previous edition of the Rovers Fanzine ‘Give Us An R' but once again its creator Dave has been hard at work on another edition (Issue 57) which went on sale for the first time before the away game at Hartlepool last Saturday afternoon.
As well as the usual features, there are also some interesting articles focussing on recent happenings at the Club including of course the sacking of John Barnes and Jason McAteer as well as the launch of the Tranmere Rovers Book which have all happened since the last issue went to print.
This issue (pictured below) features a full colour picture of current Caretaker Boss Les Parry on the front page and features write-ups about the recent away trips to Exeter City, Wycombe Wanderers, Millwall and Bury in great detail in the Fanzine's usual style. Despite three of those four games ending in defeat, the reviews of the away days and the matches themselves make good reading as ever. There is also another interview with a Tranmere fan about his experiences of supporting Rovers as Colin Chamberlain takes his turn in the hot-seat.
The usual offerings from regular contributors to the Fanzine including The Doctor, Paddock Man and Total Tranmere's very own Deadly Submarine are present once again as is the ‘Anorak Quiz' which shows obscure views of certain Stadiums around the country and asks you to guess which Stadiums they are.

There are three separate short articles about the dismissal of John Barnes and his assistant Jason McAteer and the fall out that came with the decision including a look at the views in the media from both journalists and more well known pundits who all seemed keen to have their say on the sacking of a ‘big-name' Manager.
To complete the features in this issue there is a picture special of the outgoing kitman at Prenton Park, Mark Trevor who recently moved on from the Club whilst there are also features on the excellent Tranmere Rovers Book, ‘Tranmere Rovers: The Complete Record' and a little snippet about former players including Calvin Zola who are now doing well at their current Clubs. The letters page also makes a welcome return in this issue.
At just £2.00, ‘Give Us An R' is a worthwhile purchase for any avid Rovers' Fan so if you have perhaps thought about buying it before but never got round to it, why not make this issue your first one?
We can highly recommend it as a publication written by fans for fans and with no connection in its content to the Club itself, giving views that you may not otherwise see in a matchday programme.
It can be bought at all Rovers home matches from Dave who positions himself on the left hand side of the road entrance to the Main Car Park at Prenton Park on the bit of waste ground on the opposite side of the entrance to the Mersey Clipper Pub (Dave is usually standing just under the Board which shows the next few matches that are due to be played at Prenton Park).
Dave is also at almost all Rovers away matches during the season, standing somewhere near the away turnstiles selling the Fanzine so there is plenty of chances to pick up your copy at Norwich, Leyton Orient and probably Huddersfield in early December - you won't regret it in our opinion.
