If you're unable to make the home match against Leicester City at Prenton Park tonight in Coca-Cola League One, why not discuss the game right here as Tranmere look to make ground on the other teams around them in their quest for a play-off spot.

Kick-Off 7.45pm at Prenton Park

At Total Tranmere, we always like to take note of feedback from the users of the site and respond to it in the best way we can.  One thing we have picked up on more recently is that after Tranmere games there seem to be a lot of different threads that get started about the same game.

As a result of this feedback, from now on we will be providing Match Discussion Threads for every occasion when Tranmere play.

Tranmere are of course playing at home against runaway leaders of League One Leicester City tonight at Prenton Park in Coca-Cola League One so if you're not going to the game, why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on and even discuss the team news and build up to the game beforehand too?

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.  Or why not post the line-ups or anything else you can think of.

You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores in League One from last night'sgames as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

What a reat an exciting match this promises to be! Two teams coming into this game with fantastic form behind them; us without defeat in our last thirteen home league games, them 22 games in the league without a defeat.

I'd suggest one record is going to go tonight, and I suggest it's going to be theirs. We can win this. We'll attack them, take them on and win....COME ON ROVERS, lets send out a message to the rest of League One - we mean business and we're coming to take one of those play-off places

The two records themselves perhaps suggest a draw in this one - a result which I would still take at this moment in time.

It'll be a tough game that's for sure, but I'll go for a 1-0 win.

The best game since Hartlepool at home in the play-offs (and perhaps even better than that because of the result!).

You could see in the first half especially why Leicester are such a good side but we were the better side and thoroughly deserved the win.

The same again on Saturday and we are really looking good ahead of the massive game at Oldham in a ten days time!

every single tranmere player was immense but once again Ian Goodison was vital for us at the back he was a rock!

The new lad mayor....what an estute signing he is fantastic i hope we keep him to the end of the season.

i am so fukin happy you wouldnt believe ....We know we can always count on Tranmere!!!!!!!!!

lets jsut take this confidence and form intp the next game and get another win!

We have played as a team a lot lately to be fair but tonight we just wanted it more than they did and it showed!

I said we'd win. We're coming to get a top six place. Just watch. What a game tonight, what a result, what a performance. Dominating is not the word. We played them off the park. Barnett was immense

Just makes me so proud. Every player played quality showing passsion and desire to win, we wanted it more than them.

So difficult to pick a motm tonight, probably charlie once again for me or ian goodison grinning smiley Gornell was also quality and showed his presence and the leicester defence struggled with him, bas could've scored a few but oh well we won, if we hadn't bas would be slated everywhere now i think, im hoping gornell and moore for huddersfield if moore is better.

Lets get an unbeaten run now till the end of the season with more wins than draws and be ready for every match like they were today!

There's one name people haven't mentioned last night who I think run circles around the Leicester defense and really should of scored, and surprisingly enough given his recent lack of form, that man was BAS SAVAGE. He was all over the place, set up Kay's goal, got the penalty, had a few strikes himself and really made us strong up front, where the hell that came from I have no idea. (Sm126)

I said after the Peterborough game that we needed 8 wins minimum from our remaining fixtures if we were to get into the play-offs, since then we have picked up 8pts from 5 games, so for me we are going to need to win at least 5 of our last 10 games, or win our remaining home games and draw all of our away games which should also see us safe.

Oldham is definately the biggie, but I said in the "End of season" thread that in my mind, its the different pitch sizes that we cannot cope with and that we should have got something from Northampton because their pitch was a lot like our own, and what happened there was we bossed the game...

We should really be beating Huddersfield on Saturday, and Cheltenham have only picked up 1pt in their last 8 matches, so we should be winning there.
Interestingly enough, Oldham and Scunny have worse records in their last 8 matches than we do, and if the next 8 go the same way as the last 8 then we will be in the play-offs, but level with Oldham and Southend...

At the weekend, there's a couple of decent fixtures for us, I don't want to look at the teams just below us because we should be moving forwards not going backwards, MK Dons and Millwall are probably out of reach now, especially with their games in hand, so here's the games that should matter...

Carlisle v Scunthorpe
Leeds v Swindon
MK Dons v Oldham
Stockport v Leyton Orient

and then on Tuesday...
Scunthorpe v Hereford

Once again I will say this. If we can win our next two matches, which we really should be doing, then we should be in the play-offs come the game against Oldham, and a win at Boundary Park has the potential to take us 6 or 7pts clear of them.

I still think we should be looking at about 75pts for the play-offs, which means winning all 4 of our home games, two away games and drawing another, but as a bare minimum we need at least 5 wins from our last 10 to give us an outside chance given everyone's points total at the moment.

If we win 10 from 10 we could take an auto spot, but as optimistic as I am, that ain't gonna happen, although I would love it if MK Dons and Leicester could win all of their remaining matches, given the sides they still have to play grinning smiley

Savage was excellent last night to be fair it's just a shame he doesn't play that more often. Maybe if the team stays the same he will do in the next few games though!

No-one was poor yesterday though for us!
