Away performances have slowly been getting worse over the last month or so, but getting beat 5-0 by a team like Bolton is just not on.
The Potters were second best throughout the Reebok Stadium contest and fell to defeat after the high of Europa League at Maccabi Tel-Aviv on Thursday night.
It’s been said that the Europa league should not affect the players but a blind man on a galloping horse can see that it obviously has done.
Pulis fumed: "I've managed the club for eight-and-a-half years now and that's got to be one of the worst performances I've ever managed this football club in - in respect of being competitive and doing the basics properly.
"We just didn't do them. We were very, very poor. I didn't think we competed.
"Bolton were better than us all over the pitch.
"We had our day at Wembley and they've had their day here."
"Monday, Thursday and Sunday obviously is always going to be a tough call especially when you're travelling that distance but no excuses," he added.
