Walters Sure Stoke Can Get Back On Track.

Jon Walters can’t wait to take on Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League on Thursday so the club can bounce back from the defeat inflicted upon them by Newcastle United on Monday night.

The Potters make their trip to Israel which is the second of three tough games close together, Bolton at the Rebok Stadium are the next on Stoke’s list.

But Walters is confident that Stoke can win both games which would keep them top of their Europa group and also set them back on track in the Premier League.

Walters told the club's official website: "This is a particularly tough week for us; we have two very difficult games and a lot of travelling in front of us, but that said, we know we are capable of getting two positive results and putting this result behind us, starting with the game in Tel Aviv. "

Reflecting on the home defeat on Monday, Walters added: "The lads are all absolutely gutted because that certainly wasn't a performance which was typical of us.

"We were very poor, especially in the first half, but there is nothing we can do about that now and we have got to look forward and look to get things back on track.

"We weren't doing the right things off the ball and when we did have it we just didn't have that quality to really cause them problems."
