The magic of the FA Cup returns to Broadhall Way this Saturday as Boro entertain League Two side Rochdale in the second round. This is, of course, a massive match for both clubs as they will both dream of a possible Premiership team in the third round of the competition.
Rochdale currently play their football in League Two, and are 13th place, just one point behind 7th place, which is what they need if they want to reach the play-offs. They were formed in 1907.
Biggest Win: 8-1 .v. Chesterfield, 1926
Biggest Defeat: 9-1 .v. Tranmere, 1931
The highest number of debutants ever to play in a competitive match turned out for Rochdale, in 1932 against Carlisle United, only one team member had played before for the club.
PREDICTION: After previous games against Football League clubs in the FA Cup at home, I am tipping Boro to snatch this one and progress to the third round, and hopefully play a big Premiership team, despite the fact that Rochdale have won five of their last six games. Stevenage Borough 2-1 Rochdale
