Owls Complete Double Loan Swoop

By Richard Thompson
November 26 2009

Sheffield Wednesday have today completed month-long loan deals for Forward Warren Feeney and Midfielder Tom Soares from Cardiff City and Stoke City respectively.

Wednesday manager Brian Laws was delighted to welcome the Northen Ireland international Feeney to Hillsborough, whos first team oppertunities have been limited to two substitute apperances all season for the welsh club. Likewise Soares, admired for a long-time by Laws, has found himself low down the pecking order in a strong Stoke City squad.

Feeney will wear the number 29 shirt and Soares 30 during their loan spells and both players will be avaliable for wednesdays clash with high-flying West Bromwich Albion at Hillsborough on saturday.

Overall i believe the 2 signings are pretty good. Tom soares is an excellent player with tonnes of pace and is very attaking so i beleive he will benefit our squad. Warren Feeney is a slight concern, hasnt had a sniff at cardiff and he hasnt had a lot of goals as of late. The positives are that hes an international player so he cant be bad and hopefully he will do well at wednesday.
