Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock has renewed his interest in Willem II striker Iwan Redan after the dutchman was told he could leave in January. Sturrock is keen to sign the 25-year-old on loan until the summer with a view to a permanent transfer.

Paul Sturrock has renewed his interest in Willem II striker Iwan Redan after the dutch striker was told he could leave the club after two seasons.

Redan has already had an impressive loan spell at Hillsborough earlier in the season and Paul Sturrock has already said he would like to take the 25-year-old on loan until the summer with view to a permanent transfer.

Sturrock told the Yorkshire Post: "We liked what we saw when he was on trial with us earlier this season and we have now reached the stage where we need to be making decisions on who is coming to the club in the transfer window.''

Preston North End have also shown an interest in the striker after taking him on trial at the start of the season.
