Wanderers' former Blackburn midfielder Per Frandsen looks set to easy Bolton's injury crisis by returning to the squad. Mike Whitlow, Gudni Bergsson and Gareth Farrelly will also look to come through late fitness tests to face local rivals Blackburn.

Bolton-born Rovers midfielder Garry Flitcroft may return to the squad after an injury lay off and can certainly expect a luke warm reception from the Reebok faithful. New Blackburn signing Hakan Sukur isn't in Graeme Souness' squad as he needs to prove his fitness to his former Galatasaray manager.
