JENKINS TO STAY

Blues skipper Allan Jenkins has come out publically to quash speculation that he was about to leave Stranraer to go to Morton, Falkirk, Kilmarnock AND Partick Thistle.  Speaking to the clubs official Website stranraerfc.org Allan Said "I saw on the clubs message forum that I had apparently signed for Morton and it has been in a few papers that I was on my way to anyone of a few SPL Clubs. All very flattering and you can never say never in this game but maybe I can put a few people minds at rest here that I am a Stranraer FC player and Captain of a successful Stranraer FC team, I live in the town and have a good job here so unless anyone tells me any different I will be here next season and I am looking forward to having a crack at Division One as Captain of my home town team, we are doing well at the moment and although it may be a tough season ahead, where we are at the moment, it doesn’t get much better than that”.

This is excellent news for the club as speculation had been rife, admittedly through rival clubs forums that Jenks was on his way but the trump card for the Blues is that Allan is based in the town, has a good job there and does a lot of work for the community both locally and regionally.
