Stranraer lose their game in hand advantage and are now still in eighth place and really struggling to avoid relegation into the third division.

STRANRAER

0-1

Stenhousemuir

(0-0)
Martin Harty (83)

In a lacklustre game there were very few chances created. Stenhousemuir's Brian Crawford had his shot cleared of the line following a Jay Stein cross then Blues defender Derek Wingate had the arguably the best opportunity to score early on. Wingate and Harty exchanged some one touch passing which left Dexi in on the keeper but he unluckily blazed the ball over the bar.

Stranraer did make chances but the headers went all over the place except on target or away from the goalkeeper. The main culprits being Moore and Jenkins.

A very poor second half followed which Stenny dominated and deserved to score. A Martin Harty shot in the 83rd minute went in off Willie McCulloch in the goal but it should have been cleared by the defence who had many chances to clear the danger. Stranraer might feel they should have had a free kick for an obvious push leading upto the goal but to be honest Stranraer didn't deserve anything from the game.

STRANRAER M.O.M. - Allan Jenkins and Andy Scott - worked really hard and deserve credit for there efforts.
