Stranraer's slide in the league continued with another poor performance in Tayside, this time with the help of Kevin Finlayson. Perhaps the rugby match at Landsdowne Road would have been more entertaining.

The match was only three minutes old when Kevin Finlayson attempted to block a shot, but instead watched in horror are the ball skimmed passed Hillcoat in the Stranraer goal to give the home side a dream start.

Despite losing the early the goal the flood gates did not materialise and through some tough play the Blues eventually drew level in the 57th minute when hit-man Michael Moore popped up to net his 12th goal of the season.

The remaining match was a dour affair and it look like the sides would share the spoils until Fraser Wright brought down substitute Scott Taylor with only three minutes of the game remaining. Paul Tosh stepped up to talk the kick and gave Hillcoat no chance to stop it.

OVERALL SUMMARY- The loss takes Stranraer to 8th place in the league and with a match against Dumbarton (9th place) on Tuesday the Blues could be in serious trouble.
