United picked up their first away win in 16 months on Tuesday at Bury and on Saturday The U’s look to make it two on the bounce against another team they drew 2-2 with last year Bournemouth.

Last Meeting
Last season United made the trip to the newly named Fitness First Stadium just days before the LDV Final, and battled out a 2-2 draw in front of a crowd of 7082. United took the lead through an unlikely source in defender Tom Cowan. Tom was making his first appearance in a United shirt following a loan spell with Pish. Cowan celebrated his goal by kissing his shirt but the travelling U's just stood there shouting SCUM SCUM SCUM at him! The other U’s player on the score sheet on the night was Villa loanee Danny Jackman.

How to get there
The official United site gives the following instructions on reaching Bournemouth:
By Car
Leave the M3 at the signpost for ‘So’ton Docks, Bournemouth, M27 West’ and follow signs for ‘M27 West’ onto the M27 (which becomes the A31). After 20.6 miles. Leave the A31 sign-posted Bournemouth A338, Christchurch B3073. At the Ashley Heath roundabout turn left (same sign posting) onto the A338 and after 7.7 miles exit, sign posted Boscombe then King’s Park, Littledown. Then go straight on at the roundabout into King’s Park Drive.
The car park entrance is on the left, there are plenty of spaces as there are car parks belonging to both the club and local council on site. THESE ARE BOTH PAY AND DISPLAY.

By Train
The nearest station is Pokesdown, which is about 15 minutes walk but not all trains stop at Pokesdown. Bournemouth Central Station is about a mile and a half away.

By Coach
The Official Away Travel Club is running a coach to the game leaving Ely at 8am and the Abbey 45 minutes later at 8.45am. The costs of the coach are £19 for members, £17 for non-members and £13 for under 16s. For more details contact the club shop on 01223 566503

Ticket Info
As last year this game is all ticket for United fans and tickets can be obtained from the club ticket office at a value of £13.20 for Adults and £5.30 for concessions.

The Portman 97 Ashley Road. Another large pub, with Eldridge Pope beers further down from the Queen's Park, over the railway bridge and on the right.

Porterhouse, 113 Poole Rd, Westbourne, Bournemouth. If you've got the time, this is across town, a few miles from the ground, further along the A35. A one-bar pub for serious drinkers. No games, no fruit machines, just decent booze.

The Shoulder of Mutton, 1010 Ringwood Rd Old real ale pub, which can be found 400 yards from the Clock garage on a slip road, five miles out of town, on the A348 between Poole and Ringwood.
