If we meet Stockport next season it will be reunion time with a vengeance now; Chris Turner and Colin West have snapped up two of their former charges already, and you wouldn't rule out others being on the way either.
Jermaine Easter has already signed up, with CT referring to him as being a bit like Warren Feeney. Most Pools fans will be left wondering in that case where it went wrong for the Northern Irish International at County as our memories of Easter at Pools are of headless chicken runs, woeful finishing and an inability to play when anything was resting on the game. While he certainly didn't benefit from having a run in the side - he never even started a game for us - his numerous sub appearances rarely if ever gave Turner, Newell or Cooper reason to pick him ahead of our regular forwards. Even an attempt to convert him to a right winger didn't work, and the pacy forward left for Cambridge and more recently Boston.
Meanwhile another former Poolie is apparently on his way to Cheshire - once he gets back from International Duty! Mark Robinson, who played at left back throughout our Promotion Season, is set to link up with Turner again after he returns from representing England's National Game XI - a side essentially picked from the best non-league players. He's spent this season at Hereford after a succesful trial there last summer.
With Jon Daly having joined Pools, you wouldn't bet against at least one or two more links either. While the unlikely rumour about Humphreys being on his way there has been scotched with his new deal, Darrell Clarke is a distinct possibility; Trigger of course had a loan spell there that was cut short by a knee injury inside the first 25 minutes of action, and it looks unlikely that the midfielder will be offered more than a 3 or 6 month "prove yourself" deal after effectively missing the whole season. Turner is of course a known admirer having paid to take him to the Vic in the first place, and if he offers the relative security of a one or two year contract it would be no surprise if Clarke moves on.
