Collins Shows The Way

Walker

"What's happened to Brad Walker?" must have been the most ofteny asked question on the terraces at Pools this season. Sam Collins provided the answer by picking him on Saturday and the lad delivered ....

Walker had massive potential as a teenager but obviously needs the right manager to help him deliver. Dave Jones must have been impressed, and hopefully his eperience will help him get the best out of the tall and atheltic midfielder.

Walker was one of the main reason a rejuvenated Pools earned a 2-0 win. Rhys Oates was another "fringe" player given his chance by Collins and he did not disappoint eitherr despite missing a first half penalty.

Fortunately, Nicky Featerstone netted at the seocnd attempt juts one minute later and then Walker got the second right on half time.

Pools looked confident  and even cocky at times.. Howver, Jones will not have been fooled by the number of times Stevenag managed to hit the woodwork. If any of those efforts had gone in the game could have ended differently.
