By Clarence Rode
June 16 2008
Hartlepool boss danny Wilson has declared himself happy with the way the fixtures for the 2008-09 League One season have panned out for his team. There will be plenty of new faces for the team to play in the opening month as they face two teams relegatred from the Championship and two promoted from League Two in August.

The season kicks-off at home to Colchester on Saturday August 9, followed by a midweek carling Cup-tie at home to Scunthorpe, who were also relegated from the Championship at the end of last season.
And before August is out, Pools have games against Stockport and Peterborough, both promoted from League Two.
Fixtures against League One's two big clubs see Pools at Elland Road to play Leeds on November 22 and at home for the return on Saturda, April 25 - the last home game of the season.
Pools play Leicester for the first time in their histort on September 27 at the  Salt n Vinegar Stadium, with the home return at the Vic kicking off the New Year on Saturday January 3.
The full fixtures are on the Pools website.
