Clark Keltie
Keltie scored D****'s goal in their play-off semi-final at Rochdale last week, before they went out on penalties. He's been at the club for seven years, but his contract is up and it's believed he fancies his chances at a higher level.
He is one of seven players at the Breeze Block Arena whose contract has expired, and after missing out on promotion, manager Dave Penney could decide to have another Quakers clear-out.
Keltie is thought to be a target for other clubs, while Pools have also been linked with Ayr United midfield player Ryan Stevenson, who spent time training with the squad towards the end of the season.
Wilson clearly wants a goalscoring midfield player for next season, and that isn't surprising considering his midfield didn't poroduce too many goals last season.
But with players' contract expiring t the end of June, it will probably be weeks before the current raft of rumours turns into facts.
MEANWHILE, our message board has attrated criticism from Norwich fans who claim we called their club small also-rans in an article about the possibility of james Bown joining the club..
In fact, we never said they were small, but they are also-rans (look at the Championship table) at their own level. We did say that if james Brown was to leave Pools, he should really go to a bigger and better club than Norwich.
And we stand by that.
