Will those fans who are calling for Wilson's head a year after he took the side to promotion from League Two get their way?
Which players does Wilson want to keep and which does he feel should leave as he look to the future?
Well, if Wilson's position as manager is in doubt, his fate is expected to be decided in the first week after the end of the season. Asked about speculatkion that he could be on the way out, Wilson would only say that the question could only be answered by chairman Ken Hodcroft.
And asked how many players he expects to sign for the club for next season, he added that newcomers will definitely be arriving, but could not say who is staying and who is going until chairman Hodcroft has made his decision.
This doesn't mean that Hodcroft draws up the retained list, but that he has the final say after the manager has done so.
It seems strange to us that a club should hire a boss to run the club, then take some of the major decisions away from him. Why bark yourself when you have a dog?
It suggests that Wilson's judgement is not trusted, and if that is the case, then why have him as manager?
There are a lot of ifs and buts surrounding the situation, the latest arising on Saturday - if Pools had played as well as they did in the last hour at Walsall in most of their away games, they would have a far better record on their travels and Wilson would not find himself under pressure.
Billingham-born Tommy Mooney set up Michael Dobson to give Walsall a lead on nine minutes, and on 15 Dobson set up Mooney to make it 2-0.
But Michael Mackay made it 2-1 on 19 minutes, and Pools took control of the game. It was one-way traffic in the second half, but the game was in the third minute of added time when James Brown converted David Foley's cross to earn a point.
As we say Wilson is under pressure, but if he isn't being allowed to manage, then he can hardly be expected to take all the blame when things go wrong.
So who IS at fault for Pools see-saw season? Will the guilty party or parties take one step forward.
