What is the ground like?
Home fans get both ends behind the goal. These two ends are all-standing. Home supporters, also get the 'new' Carlsberg, East Stand, which is all seated. Away fans sit opposite. You can buy food and drinks during half time, and the ground is safe. Stewards are quick to stop any trouble, and the fans are well behaved.
What is it like for away fans?
Away fans sit opposite the Home fans seating area. The away stand holds roughly 800 people, but on large derby days, they open a larger, 2000 all-standing area, for away fans, and the home fans usually viewing the game from that stand, go into the away end (a home end for the day).

The home crowd is very noisy at times, and sometimes ends up on the pitch at the end of games. This hasn't happened for a season or two now though, unless you count the last home game of the season, where the fans were shouting for their skipper to stay.

There is spaces for Wheelchair Users in the East Stand (A home end, but the fans are very friendly in this FAMILY STAND) and blind commentary is also available.
Where is their for away fans to drink?
All the pubs mentioned are located in the Town Centre. If you are arriving by train the you may like to visit The Speedwell or even better The Dalesman. Both these pubs are on Victoria Road and you come straight to them from exiting the station. Hogans pub should be avoided. Another pub which has yet to venture on the pub map is The Tanners Hall. Located in Skinnergate it is opposite Yate's Wine Lodge and offers cheap drinks and good bar meals in a traditional atmosphere. No Music or TV's.
How to get their and where to park?
From South :
Exit the A1(M) at Junction 57 and carry on on the A66(M). At a roundabout after approximately 2.5 miles go straight over on the A66(M).

At the next roundabout (with Reg Vardy garage on the right) take the 2nd exit onto Grange Road (A167). Follow road past Blackwell Grange on left and rugby club on right. At the next roundabout turn right onto the dual carriageway of Victoria Road down to Feethams roundabout.

The ground is on the right and there are plenty of signs for parking.
Where is the nearest train station?
Darlington Railway Station is just a 5-10 minute walk away from Feethams. Exit the station down Victoria Road and turn left onto Victoria Embankment just before the river at the bottom of the hill. At the end of the street, just before the park, turn right across the footbridge and carry on up Polam Lane past The Quakers Sports Centre. The turnstiles are on the right hand side.
