What is the ground like?
The ground is called Maine Road which fits up to 35, 000 supporters.  The ground is pretty big with one 3 tiered stand which got built in place of the old Kippax.  This fits in over 10,000 fans.  There is the North Stand, which accommodates the away fans, who are located in one corner of the stand.  The Maine stand is also rather big, which is the stand for the players lounge, directors box etc.

Two temporary stands recently got built in order to accommodate more City fans; these are located in 2 corners, between, Platt lane and Kippax, and also in between Kippax and North Stand.   Maine Road has a stand called Platt Lane, which also has a family stand for all the younger children. The football ground is located in an area of Manchester - Moss Side.

What is it like for away fans?
When away fans visit Maine Road, they should expect a rather hostile atmosphere, as city are very passionate about their football!  The away fans are located in one corner of the North stand, however if there is only a small following, they will be re-located in the temporary stand, which has no roof.  When visiting Maine road, colours may be worn but you may prefer to cover them up.
Where is their for away fans to drink?
There are a few pubs around the ground.  The Beehive is one, which is down Claremont drive, which is just down the road from the ground.  Another is the park side, but it is advisable to not go there, as it is full of city fans, so BE WARE!
How to get their and where to park?
If you are coming from Lancashire way, you follow the M61 signs, on the motorway; you will come to a junction, which has a turn off for Salford.  Turn off then and follow the Manchester signs, you carry on along the road, go past a roundabout, and there will be directions to Maine road from there.
Where is the nearest train station?
The nearest train station is Piccadilly station, which is approximately 2 miles away from the ground.  There is a bus at the bus station, just across from the station, which will take you to Claremont road.  This bus is number 11.
