||||||||
| What is the ground like? | ||||||||
| The ground is fairly complex; maybe
one of the best grounds in the division. However, one bad point is the
West Stand, which really spoils the look of the ground and dents its
capacity. Although all of the stands have roofs, they only stop the bad
weather from the top of the lower tier and the higher tier. The
newest stand is the North Stand, it was built in 1999 and has a roof
that stops any rain from getting in, both sets of fans share the stand
with only a black cover segregating them. |

| What is it like for away fans? | ||||||||
Oakwell is a pleasant ground which you will enjoy your time there. If you come by coach you probably will be dropped off next to the ground. Your seats are behind the goal, you share the stand with the home fans, and you are separated by material spread across the seats. |
||||||||
| Where is their for away fans to drink? | ||||||||
There are a number of different pubs around Oakwell to drink in. However, the nearest one is in the ground, but you are unable to drink while in your seats, you must be in the bar area. |
||||||||
| How to get their and where to park? | ||||||||
To get there from all areas: Exit M1 at junction 37 and follow the signs for “Barnsley FC” or “Football Ground”. As for parking, there are loads of areas. There is the club parking or some down the main road, which goes past Oakwell. Another option is Queen’s Ground Car Park, which is adjacent to the club. |
||||||||
| Where is the nearest train station? | ||||||||
| The nearest train station is
Barnsley Exchange, it’s about a five minute walk from the ground. |
