| What is the ground like? | ||||||||||||
| The ground only has two stands at either side
of half way line and each stand only spreads across half of the pitch.
Behind goal there is room for fans to stand if need be.
The main stand was with nice and comfortable plastic seats but by Unibond rules this stand will have to be re-built as it does not meet standards. The other stand was simple but looked it impressive, it was just a simple stand with blue and white plastic seats, I think it is a new stand. Had the match against Glapwell not being postponed due to heavy rain I would have gone and sit in the other stand. All the way around the Turnbull ground is appox a 10 foot netting to stop the ball from hitting surrounding houses, this failed as the ball went over around five times and smashing one window. Their was a refreshment bar at the ground and did sample a burger, I would be lying if I said it was nice and at £1.20 was not worth it. The Turnbull can be quite a land mark as unlike Football League they have floodlights but with a difference, their is four on each side of the ground (eight in total) and are half the size of normal floodlights that are used by some teams, the reason is I believe that neighboring houses around the ground would complain at such a height and WTFC had to put in smaller floodlights to keep them happy. Going to the Turnbull Ground did make me appreciate what we take for granted in Football League grounds, I well and truly enjoyed my visit. |

| What is it like for away fans? | ||||||||||||
| The way to getting into Turnbull is simple, their are two turnstiles at the Main Stand end of the ground where you pay to get in (this also is the exit) from their you can seat or stand anywhere you like, you are free to walk anywhere you wish. | ||||||||||||
| Where is their for away fans to drink? | ||||||||||||
| Being a non-league ground with little supporters I can only imagine that pubs do not stop any away fans from visiting their pubs. | ||||||||||||
| How to get their and where to park? | ||||||||||||
From the west: From A1 in north Yorkshire follow the A64 towards (Unfortunately Scarborough). After passing York and going along single carriage way track, getting stuck behind caravans and tractors, you will come to a place called Malton. This has a bypass which is dulled. Follow the dual carriage way until you come to the A169. Take this road past and thru Pickering until eventually you come to (after 20 miles of moorland) sleights. Go thru sleights up a git massive hill to a T junction with the A171. Turn right and then first left to whitby. Follow this road until you come to a garage called arundals, a DIY place called the Handyman store and turn left opposite the spar shop (signposted sandsend). Follow this road to another T junction with the A174. Turn right, and follow this road for about 1 mile and the ground is on your left after the garage/off license. From the north: Find the A171 from Middlesbrough and take it all the way to the junction with the A169 Pickering road. Go past this junction and take the next left. Follow this road until you come to a garage called arundals, a DIY place called the Handyman store and turn left opposite the spar shop (signposted sandsend). Follow this road to another T junction with the A174. Turn right, and follow this road for about 1 mile and the ground is on your left after the garage/off license. From the south: If you are unfortunate enough to have to come from Scarborough then take the A171 towards whitby. follow this road to whitby and eventually you'll go over a high level bridge. past the bridge , and go thru the traffic lights and down a hill. at the bottom of the hill turn left up another hill (chubb hill) at the round about at the top take the second exit and follow this road for about 1 mile or so and the ground is on the right. |

| Where is the nearest train station? | ||||||||||||
| The nearest train station is about 1 mile away from the ground and is in the town centre itself. It is a hard ground to get to if you do not know the way but thankfully across from train station is a tourist information centre where they will be happy to help. |
