Preview: Town - Blades
By Aston
January 13 2006
STB brings you team news, manager previews, betting odds and the officials ahead of Towns game against Sheffield United tomorrow (KO 3pm).

Town are still short on numbers up front but Alan Lee should make his debut up front and Dean Bowditch is back from injury as is Jim Magilton. Adam Proudlock, Nicky Forster and Sam Parkin are all still out.

Town manager Joe Royle: “Sheffield don't seem to like coming here and let's hope it stays that way on Saturday, I have great hopes from our fans this week. They seem to rise for the visit of Sheffield United. I'm not too sure why but certainly over the years I have been here, this game has been one that the fans have always been up for and I hope that's the way it is at the weekend.

“We beat them a few years ago with 10 men after being two goals down and Neil said afterwards how the fans had made up for losing a man and he was right.

“They drove us on that day and while I hope we are not down to 10 players this time, the fans can play their part this weekend.”

Royle went on to add: “So we know it's going to be a tough game but we have found a little form of late and there is much to be encouraged about. We just haven't got the results our performances have deserved.”

Neil Warnock is with out Craig Short but otherwise has his entire squad to pick from.

Blades boss Neil Warnock: no pre-match thoughts currently available.

Match odds from William Hill:

Town: 11/5

Draw: 21/10

Sheffield United: 21/20
