Finidi paid off

Ipswich town football and Finidi George have today parted company with a pay-off between parties.

The Nigerian international midfielder arrived at Portman road in the summer of 2001 after Ipswich towns very successful first season back in the top flight and it was hopped he would justify his transfer fee of £3.1 million.

That he came close to doing that on his first game at Portman road scoring twice as Ipswich town beat derby county 3-1.

Finidi will now leave Portman road with an estimated £1 million which is about half of what he would get if he stayed with the club for the remaining two years of his contract.

Although Finidi has done a lot id his career (winning two Dutch championships with Ajax, champions league winners medal, world club championship, African nations cup medal) he never really fitted in at Ipswich much like Ulrich Le Pen and Amir Karic which has lead to his demise.

Any way I do wish him the best of luck for the future.*

* Unless he playing against Ipswich in which case I want his team to lose.
