Bullard Joins On-Loan

Town have signed Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard on-loan until the end of the season.

The 32-year-old has been reunited with Paul Jewell who signed him for Wigan Athletic in 2003. Bullard has struggled for fitness while at Hull and sees the move to Town as a chance for a fresh start.

Bullard: "The gaffer got on the phone to me and said I'd enjoy it down here and it's a great opportunity for me to come and play at a great club like Ipswich.

"It's a new beginning for me and I'm looking forward to getting some football under my belt.

"I could never really get going at Hull. The injuries stopped me getting a run going. I have not played in the last few games and the people there said it would be best for me to go and get some football.

"It suited all parties for me to come here. I just want to get back playing and enjoying my football again and hopefully I'll do that here."

Town manager Jewell added: "I know Jimmy well from our days at Wigan and he will give us something different in the middle of the park, he has played in the Premier League, has a lot of experience. He is a good technician, a good passer of the ball. He's also a great character and will improve our squad."
