Town have signed Manchester United winger Lee Martin for an undisclosed fee, the 22-year-old signing a four year deal at Portman Road today.

Town have signed Manchester United winger Lee Martin for an undisclosed fee, the 22-year-old signing a four year deal at Portman Road today.
Martin joined United in 2003 but failed to ever hold down a place in United's first team, spending most of his time on on-loan to clubs such as Royal Antwerp, Rangers, Stoke, Plymouth, Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest.
Martin: "It obviously wasn't an easy decision, leaving a club like Manchester United but I know how ambitious the manager is here and I'm delighted to be part of his plans for the future.
"It's also important for me to be playing regular first-team football and hopefully I can play my part in helping Ipswich get back in the Premier League."

But not the 20+ goals a season one we need.
We have plenty of makeshift strikers at the club - what we need is decent players playing in their correct positions!
A bit of healthy competition for places starting - hopefully to work wonders on the 11 that start each game.
