Town have signed Republic of Ireland international Damien Delaney from Jim Magilton’s QPR side.
The 27-year-old has signed a two-year contract and will meet his new team mates for the first time tomorrow. He is primarily a left back but is capable of playing in the middle of the defence, he made his footballing name at Hull, where played more then 230 games before moving to APR in January 2008, he has since made 59 appearances for the Rs scoring 3 goals.

Delaney: "I'm looking forward to the next step in my career here at Ipswich Town, I have spoken to the manager, Roy Keane, and it's clear that this club is very ambitious and I'm delighted to be part of trying to take the Club forward."

A decent signing, still need a 20+ goal a season striker though, I'm sure Keano has got one in sight!!
This seasons gonna be a cracker.

Yep - finally the reinforcements are arriving - looks like Martin next and then the big 20+ striker!

yes the rumours are the striker in question will be with us in next 10 days, but i hope we have two decent centre-backs coming in for the next signings that can run the show, we are thin on the ground for them and the ones we have are shocking
