Town Travel To Shrewsbury

Town will travel to Shropshire to face League Two side Shrewsbury Town in the first round of the Carling Cup.
No date has been set for the game, although it will be held in the week commencing the 10th of August at Shrewsbury's Prostar Stadium (New Meadow).

Town did play Shrewsbury in the 90/91 competition, winning 4-1 on aggregate.

Bit of a dull tie, I reckon Mr Keane will play a weakened team here, but still expect us to go through quite easily.

We have played weakened teams in the past - probably to give the whole squad a game in the first week of the season - but look where it gets us!
