Directors Quit Board
By Aston
January 8 2009
Kevin Beeston, Holly Bellingham and Andrew Goulbourn have all quit the board of Ipswich Town PLC today for various reasons.
Beeston joined the Town board back in 2003 but has stepped down from both the PLC and football club boards, reportedly due to his work commitments with Serco. Beeston's departure from the PLC board has left just former chairman David Sheepshanks, chief executive Derek Bowen and the representatives from the Marcus Evans Group (Martin Pitcher, Jonathan Symonds and Ian Milne) on the PLC board.

Holly Bellingham is believed to have stepped down for personal reasons but will continue to support the club via her Marketform business and will remain a vice president of the club. Andrew Goulbourn has stepped down due to do what he feels is a conflict of interest as he works on the board of the football club.

Former Town chairman David Sheepshanks: "I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of shareholders, to thank two of our Plc directors who have decided to stand down from the board.

"Kevin Beeston and Holly Bellingham have both served the club with great commitment, diligence, loyalty and passion, during their time as directors.

"I know that for both Holly and Kevin, their support of the Football Club remains as strong today as it has ever been."
