Norfolk Constabulary have issued a message to all Ipswich fans travelling to Norwich on Sunday for the East Anglian Derby.
The Norfolk Constabulary would like to take this opportunity to offer a warm welcome to all Ipswich Town Football Club supporters to the City of Norwich for the derby fixture on Sunday 7th December, kick-off 1.15pm.

As a result of the cancellation of all train services from Ipswich direct into Norwich including the football specials due to pre planned essential line maintenance and increased volumes of general traffic in Norwich City centre associated with

Christmas shopping, the Norfolk Constabulary would recommend that all visiting supporters travelling to this fixture by private vehicles who would normally have travelled by train use the recommended Coach/Car park on Lower Clarence Road, Norwich. (Post Code NR1 1HA).

All supporters travelling by both coach and private transport will be welcomed on their arrival in Norwich by Norfolk Police Officers and are advised to adhere to the directions given in relation to their safe approach and arrival at Carrow Road football ground. All efforts have been made in the planning of this event to ensure that all supporters of Ipswich Town Football Club can move to and from their arrival point in Norwich and the ground in a safe and secure environment.

Norwich City Football Club will open the gates at 11.45am at which point the bars within the stadium will be open for your use and enjoyment, providing all forms of refreshment. These bars will be open before the game and again at half time.

The Norfolk Constabulary strongly recommends that all supporters adhere to instructions at all times given by the local Police Officers to assist in ensuring that a safe, enjoyable and memorable day is had by all attending. Thank you in anticipation of your co-operation on the day.
