Stoke Make Walters Bid?
By Aston
August 30 2008
It is being reported that Premier League side Stoke City have made a £3 million bid for Town striker Jon Walters.
The 24-year-old striker has been linked with Stoke throughout the summer but yesterday Town's chief executive Derek Bowden said there had been no bid from Stoke for the former Chester frontman.

It has been reported elsewhere that Jon is keen on a return to the North West to be nearer his family and a move to Stoke would be a step in the right direction.

Re: Stoke Make Walters Bid?
Only 2 days to go to hold on to him, even for £3M I would'nt let him go, especially to a 'one season wonder' club like that.
I'm sorry but footballers are getting sooo greedy nowadays, they have a (at best) 20 year career, surely they can move away from Mummy and Daddy for a few years, then go back home, if he wanted to stay in the North West he should'nt have joined us in the first place!!
