Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd: "Ipswich have spent a lot of money and they've had indifferent results so far, I think they might be in a period of transition as well.
"I've heard some of Jim's comments about a team that might be a little bit too nice and entertaining and he wants a little more aggression in his team, to win more games.
"It should be an interesting fixture, we've gone from one way and they are going to the other, in many ways they want to be like what we were like - difficult to beat, perhaps a little more aggressive - it's certainly an interesting time for both clubs.
"For us we have to get as many points on the board as quick as we can because those injuries and suspensions are going to come, we've had one already.
"That's part and parcel of football, it makes it more exciting in some ways because people have got to step up and go and be difficult to beat and that's what we've got to get back to."
Town are without Alex Bruce who is serving the 2nd of a 3 match ban, he is likely to be replaced in the squad by Moritz Volz who joined Town on-loan from Fulham this week, David Norris is back in the squad following injury. Tommy Miller and Velice Sumulikoski are looking for re-calls. Alan Lee will not feature as he is expected to join Crystal Palace.
Town manager Jim Magilton: "Moritz is a good defender, who has great energy and can also handle one on one situations, he is a Premier League player and will bring that quality into our dressing-room. He had a great upbringing in the game at Arsenal and behaves in a professional manner. He wants things done professionally and will prove to be a great asset for us, I'm sure.
"Moritz adds to the competition for places and we need that if we are to move forward. He's in the squad and we'll take it from there. He hasn't played for a few weeks but he's keen to get his Ipswich Town career underway.
"David is in the squad as well. He is still a bit rusty but it's great for the lad and us to have him back involved again.
"I was very critical of my players after the Wolves game, maybe I was too harsh, it's an emotional game and I was speaking out after what was a disappointing performance but the players were as disappointed as anyone else and they reacted very well against Colchester.
"We played some bright football against a determined Colchester side and now we have to look to take that on against Watford.
"It will be a difficult game against a club that you would expect to be among the promotion contenders. They are missing Grzegorz Rasiak, which is disappointing for them, but they have quality players throughout their side.
"The game is on Sky so the players from both sides will want to put on a show for the nation. We have a decent record in front of the cameras although we have not done well at Watford over recent years. We'll going all out to put that right at the weekend."
