Walters Staying
By Martin August 29 2008
Town chief executive Derek Bowden says Town have still not received any bids for Town winger Jon Walters and nor has he handed in a transfer request despite reports to the contrary in the press yesterday.
Jon was left out of the original team photograph taken in the summer as he was on paternity leave but this sparked more rumours he was about to leave, but that is far from the truth.

Town chief executive Derek Bowden: "Nothing has changed. Jon has not handed in a transfer request and we have had no offers for him."

Re: Walters Staying
BLUES boss Jim Magilton has admitted he could lose Jon Walters within the next 60 hours.

Although Town bosses deny Stoke City have made a £3m offer for the forward, Magilton was not convinced Walters will still be at Portman Road on Tuesday.

He said: “I hope so he is a very valuable member of our squad I can't honestly say he will be here or he won't be. It someone offers us £10m then he might not be.”

Re: Walters Staying
If he does go, its bye bye to any promotion hopes, he is the only player in our squad with real quality. Try selling yer mate Jim, (Miller) and a few more of our overpacked midfield!!!!!
