Skacel A Target?
By Aston July 8 2008
Town are reportedly closing in on signing Southampton left sided player Rudi Skacel from the Championship side.
The 28-year-old who turns 29 next week spent the last five months of last season on-loan from Southampton to HSC Hertha Berlin as Rudi tried to break into the Czech Republic squad for the Euro 2008 finals.

He started his career at Czech side FC Hradec Králové before joining Slavia Praha, he joined Marseille in 2003 and although his first season for the French side he spent the following two seasons out on-loan to Greek side Panathinaikos and Hearts in the SPL his one season in Scotland was a success as he scored in 7 successive games at the start of the season and got 16 goals in total from 35 appearances. He left Hearts in the summer of 2006 and joined Southampton for £1.6 million.

Re: Skacel A Target?
Saw something in the EADT earlier, his wages are £12,000 a week at Southampton.

I'm starting to think we did learn thing from relegation a few years ago.
