Maynard Bid Made?

Reports elsewhere on the internet are suggesting Town have made a bid in excess of £1 million for Crewe Alexander striker Nicky Maynard.
The 21-year-old striker has scored 35 goals in 65 games for Crewe and has been linked with a number of Premiership clubs since January but this is the first news of an bid being made for the front man.

Maynard has two years left to run on his current contract and a bidding war of some kind is expected with Blackburn, Middlesbrough, Town and Bristol City all reportedly keen on him.
