Clarke Called Up
By Aston May 7 2008
Town striker Billy Clarke has been called up into the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for a tournament in Malaysia later this month.
Clarke has spent the later stages of last season on-loan at SPL side Falkirk where he made 8 appearances.

The Republic will face, Iran, Malaysia and Nigeria during the tournament.

Clarke appears to have a future with the Republic, does he have a future at Town? Leave your view below.

Re: Clarke Called Up
its a hard one to call. i think he has another year to run on his contract so if he has a good pre-season, he may get a place in the 1st team. he was sent to Falkirk for experience so it looks like Town want him back again. In terms of skill and footballing brain, he seems right up there with the best but he needs a couple of goals early in the next season to get him going. The Oirish seem to love him as they include him in everything. Someone told me he's played 41 times for the Republic at youth level and got 13 goals. That's pretty good by any standards
