Jim Avoids Ban
By Aston May 1 2008
Town manager Jim Magilton has been avoided a touchline ban this season after a hearing at the FA earlier today.
Jim was facing a two match touchline ban for complaining to referee Mike Jones about the use of the multi-ball system during Town's game against Stoke earlier this year. Jones sent Magilton to the stands which leas to the hearing today which resulted in Jim getting a suspended ban.

Club secretary Sally Webb explains: "We had a very fair hearing, the suspension on the touchline ban means that it will come into place if Jim faces another charge next season. If he goes through the year with no disciplinary action then the ban will be wiped off in May 2009."

"Jim was very upset at the multi-ball system at Stoke and doesn't like the system in general, we will be asking the clubs at the Football League AGM to vote on scrapping the system."

A Suspended Touchline Ban! There is no way that Jim is going to go a whole season without having something to say for himself, It's just a case of when...
