Quinn Confident
By Aston April 30 2008
Town midfielder Alan Quinn is confident Town would make a good go of it in the Premiership if they get promoted this season.
Quinn was relegated with Sheffield United last season and he says that is partly because of The Blades direct style of play and because Town play a more passing game he feels we would have a chance if we went up.

Quinn: "I know results have to go our way on Sunday and we need lady luck on our side but if we finish in the top six, we can win the Play-Offs, the manager has got the team playing in the right manner and I think that we play in a style that could cope in the Premier League.

"We have seen in the past that you can't go up into the Premier League and just play a long ball. It doesn't work at that level.

"I know we got relegated at Sheffield United last year but we tried to play and were unlucky in the end to go down. Watford played their direct route a few years back when they were up in the Premier League and were down by Christmas.

"Premier League players and teams are too good not to be able to deal with big boots down the pitch, you have to pass the ball to have a chance of surviving."
