Report: Town 1-1 Burnley
By Aston
December 2 2006
Town finally scored a final minute goal rather then conceded one and snatched a point away from Burnley.

After two away games on the trot in which Town had thrown away a point in the final minute of both it was nice to be back at Portman Road where the crowd would of course be behind the team, not so, the crowd must have been outside for the first half an hour with the teams because it took that long for anything of note to happen.

Burnley scored their goal with just 5 minutes to go, Lafferty was on hand to fire past Lewis Price from a James O'Connor cross.

With Town staring another defeat in the face they were handed a golden opportunity to level the scores in the final minute when Noel-Williams handled the ball and the referee awarded a penalty which Danny Haynes was desperate to take but De Vos gave it to Lee who placed the ball into the bottom left of the goal with Danny Coyne going the wrong way.
