Town wasted chances and allowed new Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws to start his new job with a win.

Town fell behind after just 11 minutes when Marcus Tudgay managed to squeeze the ball between Shane Supple and the post after Wade Small broke from a Town corner to set Tudgay up.

 

Matt Richards and Alan Lee both had chances to level the score but wasted their chances.

 

The visitors wrapped up the points with 8 minutes to go when Madjid Bougherra was left unmarked and able to head in Kenny Lunt’s corner.
