Town manager Jim Magilton says Town were beaten by the better side at Portman Road earlier today.

Jim: “Sometimes you have to hold up your hands and say you were beaten by a better side and this was one of those occasions, we looked ring rusty after the two week break but I can't argue with the result and the quality of their side.

“There wasn't much in it for the first half hour but once they got ahead for the second time, they got on top.

“We have to lick our wounds now, dust ourselves down and get on with it. We have to put the result behind us and look ahead now and I'm pleased we only have to wait until Tuesday for our next match.

Preston will come here flying after winning 4-1 against Sunderland and we know we will have extra pressure on us but we have to stand up and be counted.”
