Report: Col U 1-0 Town
By Aston
September 30 2006
A single goal was enough to decide the first meeting between Colchester and Ipswich in over 40 years.

The goal came after just 8 minutes was Town ‘keeper Lewis Price was unable to hold Cureton’s shot and the ball ended up at the feet of Karl Duguid who fired home.

Town thought they had equalised early when Jon Macken put the ball in the net but it was ruled out for a foul on Colchester ‘keeper Aidan Davison.
