Post Match Magic: Southampton
By Aston

Reaction from Town manager Jim Magilton following Town’s 2-1 win against Southampton at Portman Road earlier today.

Jim: “I'm delighted for Billy (Clarke) and the goal will boost his confidence, I have liked him since he first arrived here as a little boy and you can see the lad wants to score goals.

“I didn't want to leave him out after he did so well at QPR but he hasn't trained all week and it was always going to be a risk to play him.

“Jon Macken did well and he will be better for the game but Billy went on and gave us some pace up front and got behind them.

“He took his goal well and it was great to see him score because we was very unlucky not to get on the score sheet at QPR.

“We rode our luck on several occasions against a team that will win a lot more games then they lose.

“Today was our day though and we'll take the three points.”
