Town manager Jim Magilton could not be happier with his players following their 3-1 win against QPR last night.

Jim: “Every player was outstanding and I'm chuffed to bits for them, it was nice to play like that with the TV coverage as well.

 

“I have total belief in the players and knew they were capable of turning in a performance like that because I have seen them play like that on the training field.

 

“We passed the ball well all over the pitch and were outstanding for large chunks of the game and our play got our just rewards.

 

“The win comes as a welcome relief obviously after the start we have had and we need to build on it over the coming weeks.

 

“Gavin Williams was absolutely outstanding and Billy Clarke showed what he is all about.

 

“He has been waiting for his chance and showed that he is a terrific prospect for us.”
