Six Offered Contracts

Coming Back?

6 players have been offered terms by Chris Wilder to spend next season playing their football at the Shay. There is just one name that is not familiar and he is Phil Haigh, a ex-Leeds and Forest youngster.

Six Offered Contracts

Because the club is still in administration, no contracts can be signed until the club enters into the CVA. But, the Evening Courier reports that Haigh has accepted the terms and conditions of the contract and it is just a matter of signing hopefully on the 29th after the meeting with the creditors.

The other 5 who have been offered terms are the 5 from last season who have been training with the club.

Steve Kerrigan, Steve Bushell, Ian Fitpatrick, Paul Stoneman and Craig Midgley have all be offered deals for next season.

We know what we are getting with the above 5 players and it could form a good basis for the team, to build a squad up around.

It is important that the team has a good spine and with Stoneman, Bushell and Kerrigan, we have a spine that could be very useful in the Conference.

Some people might be disappointed with the re-signing of Kerrigan, but we just have to remember the season before last to know what an asset he can be.

Hopefully he can regain the same sort of form and confidence to score the goals for the Shaymen.
