Shaymen Not To Sign Ronaldinho
By Cuthbert

Halifax Town have released a statement this morning confirming that they will not be making a bid for Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho.

Shaymen Not To Sign Ronaldinho

It was thought that Halifax Town would be making a move for the Paris Saint -Germain star and that he would be the first signing of the team that would hopefully take the club back out of the Nationwide Conference. But the Shaymen have dropped their interest in the goofy Brazilian.

Ronaldinho created the first goal for Rivaldo and then went on to score the winner hitting the ball 40 yards over the stranded David Seaman into the England net. He turned hero to villain soon after when he made a poor challenge on Danny Mills.

Halifax Town General Manager explained the decision to shaymen.org:

"After what he had done to England in the quarter-final of the World Cup there was no way that we would let him set foot in the Shay, never mind want to sign him.

"Talks with the player had been held but after he had lobbed Seaman from 40 yards we decided this was not the kind of player we wanted in our quest to regain our League place."

This is a similar kind of situation to the Perugia situation where the clubs president sacked Ahn Jung-Hwan after he had scored the winning goal for Korea knocking Italy out of the World Cup.

Is this football gone mad or are they quite right to act like this? Let us know on the message board.
