The HTST have released a statement on their website regarding their plans for the future of the club. Out of the two proposals made to the club from the two interested parties, it seems the Trust has thrown it's weight behind one of them.

HTST To Trust Hall And Cairns

After weeks of what seemed like no action, the Halifax Town Supporters' Trust have confirmed that will be going to the members of the Trust for permission to join the rescue package put together by David Cairns and Adie Hall.

Many people had been concerned that the Trust had not been doing anything about the clubs position, but the article on the Trust website states that the Society Board has been in weeks of discussions with the relevant people.

A letter will be included with the voting form explaining the situation for Halifax Town and the Supporters' Trust and will more than likely have certain conditions that will have to be met before the any money is handed over.

This is now a great opportunity for the fans of Halifax Town to have a serious say in the running of the club, which is what the main aims of the Trust are.

If you are not yet signed up to the Trust, then do so. There are some important decisions to be made in the near future and to make sure you have your say your membership to the Trust is vital.
